Design and Validation of Energy Management Strategy for Extended-Range Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle Using Bond Graph Method

In view of the aggravation global pollution and greenhouse effects, fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) have attracted increasing attention, owing to their ability release zero emissions. Extended-range (E-RFCEVs) are most widely used type vehicles. The powertrain system E-RFCEV is relatively complex. Bond graph theory was model important parts system: Battery, motor, cell, DC/DC, vehicle, driver. order verify control effect energy management strategy (EMS) in a real-time state, bond applied hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) development. An HiL simulation test-bed based on built, verification completed. Based comparison power-following EMS, it found that fuzzy logic EMS more adaptive vehicle driving conditions. This study aimed apply simulations modeling applicable complex systems.
